um, it's spelled "monitor", not "moniter". anyway, here is your monitor

EDIT: make sure you have the power to drive that thing. a 6800 vanilla or higher should do the trick.

That is not one of the monitors on his list. That monitor is grade b and all of the ones he chose were grade A, also that one is out of stock so it is as uselfull as a hammer in a glass house.

I have 2 6600GTs SLI'd

Cresent is none too bright here. An nVIDIA TNT has enough power to drive a CRT and that is the beauty of the tube, you do not need the latest video card to drive it becaus there is no native resolution.

Wow, I didn't realize that big CRT's could be purchased that cheap. I'm using a Dell 2001FP and while 1600x1200 with razor sharp text is great for 2D and web browsing it sucks for gaming. I miss my 22" Compaq P1220 Diamondtron CRT.

(Feeling Like a Preacher) Glad to hear you (LCD USER) confess that you swicthed to an Inferiror display technology.

Hmm...Would I be able to run to comps off of the IBM?

Heres what it says by "Other:" Plug and Play. Two video inputs with selection by a front mounted switch.

I would not say it's inferior - it all depends on what you're doing with it. You'll never hear me pitch an LCD over a CRT for gaming. That said, my 2001FP looks a hellova lot better than pretty much any CRT at 1600x1200 in 2D (web browsing, email, office apps, etc).

All high resolution sony monitors have this feature. You can have two sources connected and toggle between them using a switch. So if you have a file server you can save space by using one monitor. (That is what I do)

Well, as a followup I just tried out a ViewSonic Graphics Series G220fb CRT on my system. Side by side my Dell 2001FP blows it away in both text and colors. I've gotta say the ViewSonic looks crappy at best - washed out even. I've fiddled with brightness, contrast, and color levels and in conclusion this monitor just plain sucks. I guess I just don't like Shadow Mask monitors? Back to the Trinitron/Diamondtron style for me.

is it just me or did only like one person recommend a monitor from his choices, out of all these posts......and i'll be the next cuz i dunno either 😛

edit: nevermind i made a decision.....defintely the IBM....dvi...good refresh...high rez....free shipping....damn i might buy this.....hopefully my desk wont collaspe

I like the IBM as well. I've had a Trinitron and Diamondtron and both tubes were excellent. But like you said, the IBM is the one with DVI input.

My question is, how old are these things? I mean, they're "Grade A" but exactly what does that mean? Everyone knows a CRT is going to get fuzzy over time. I looked at reviews of some of these models and they date back to 2001. I don't want to drop $200 on a 3-4 year old monitor.
