anandtech forums need likes/upvotes/points

we need a point system on anandtech, so that instead of just being all about post count, people can upvote worthy posts. like reddit/ytmnd/other forums/****/etc.
 
It will get abused like what happens on those sites very often and it honestly adds nothing to the forums other then to cause more issues.

Not to mention this is more of a tech site and those generally are anything but.

It existed under FT and was abused.

the decision was not keep popularity out of the system.

it will only cause issues for people who are affected inrl

and tech site vs non tech is not revelant
 
The tech site excuse has been used a lot and generally those kinds of rep systems of vote up are anything but.

Plus the server has enough issues that they do not need to add more to it to cause even more issues.
