AnandTech forums changing my posts???

I just posted in the following thread:

Women gang-raped by Halliburton and US contractors

When I type in my post and used the term B D S'ers (Bush Derangement Syndrome, without the spaces), the Forum itself edited my B D S'ers (again, no spaces though) text to be *'s.

Now, surely, B D S'ers is not a swear word...or against the Forum Rules...so what's going on?

Who exactly put this rule in place???

We now have another thread, ***** - the history of., where B D S (again, without the spaces) has been changed to ****'s.

At this point, it's 100% for sure someone stuck B D S (again, without the spaces) into the Forum filter.

I've been at AnandTech since it's inception (yes, I lurked a lot until I found P&N), and I cannot recall an incident (even on the original boards that crashed a few times) such a non-swear word being filtered out.

Respectfully, I'd like to know who put this word in the Forum filter, and Why. And what is being done about it.

Is anyone going to get back to me on who had the audacity to censure multiple posts without explanation?

Basically: Who added the BDS acronym into the forum filter, and Why?

A. Looks like it works now.
B. No posts were censured.
C. I doubt anyone will get back to you (although I certainly could be wrong) since I don't know any mods who respond to attitude and/or demands.
D. If you know of no incidences of non-swear words being filtered then you haven't been paying attention.

Such an adversarial attitude could land you in hot water.

I would recommend toning it down.

BDS BDS BDS CDS LDS LSD 😕 What ever was happening it seems to be fixed. Might have been a bug or something, who knows.

My apologies, censure was definitely too strong of a word.

I posted the thread on 12/10, no one posted back here or PM'd me. I post back on 12/19 in a more stern manner, and overnight I get 3 responses. I don't really view that as attitude, I view that as being ignored.

I've been with AnandTech from the beginning - the very beginning - and I hadn't heard of this until now. Granted, other than me posting in P&N lately, I don't post much in the other forums, so I guess now I know....

Sorry about that, I figured someone decided to take it upon themselves to add BDS to the forum filter because they didn't like seeing BDS, not that it was a forum bug...

...I assumed after 9 days and no post back here or PM, maybe no one was reading this Forum...looks like I was wrong.
