After upgrading to macOS Mojave (may have nothing to do with issue), now I have noticed the AnandTech forums site freezing up when using Safari, giving that spinning rainbow colored rotating "busy" wheel.
Suddenly after about 10 seconds into the forums site, that spinning "busy" wheel comes up as the mouse pointer and the site freezes. Can't scroll, can't click, nada, nothing.
No other site acts like this.
However, I do remember long ago I encountered this issue when in the Walmart site.
And I know what that was all about. Walmart was grabbing cookie history to see where you shop, what you buy, what you look at. And every thing froze up with that "busy" pointer while Walmart collected it's data.
Eventually, it snapped out of it. But not this time with AnandTech.
I must exit Safari (which is clickable), and use Crome.
So, has AnandTech started collecting information on its users? Or what?
ANyone else having this hanging/freezing issue when using Safari and AnandTech?
Like I said, I had to install Crome just so I could navigate the site once again.
And I don't like using Crome. No way....
