AnandTech Deal Scavenger in Hot Deals

Not wanting to get a vacation or anything, but this is kinda getting on my nerves. All they are doing is creating a thread with a supposedly hot deal and then locking it, however, it is another form of advertising and it takes away from the real hot deals. Come on guys, banners on 3 sides is enough.

anandtech isnt cheap to keep going, and i doubt they would mind making a little extra $$ ...but IMO those threads are a little FWish.

Some of those deals are actually decent. If you are going to complain about the banners why don't you just subscribe and get rid of them.

In the thread about the ad placement, a staff member flat-out denied they are ads, but we all know the truth. They don't bother me, but they should at least be honest about it...

The posts are still there is you subscribe. Personally, I dont mind it. I look at Hot Deals and now the first thing I see is that SVC is having a pretty decent sale on cooling stuff.

I just hate seeing the locked symbol on the side, it actually drives me away, im mean, most dead deals or illegal deals are locked, so i never click on them anyway, so they are actually losing views. Plus it clutters up the posts to have every other one locked.
