It means that AMD delivers bigger bang for the buck. In fact, it delivers a bigger bang even if you don't take prices into considerations :).

What is the real story about these numbers?

AMD has the better product, so enthusiasts will buy it, which is why those numbers are so highly in favor of AMD (although part of it is that AMD is simply more popular than Intel, irreguardless of the products Intel has). Haha, it's funny how other people would either bash me or think less of me for telling you this fact, but for some people it just takes time for this fact to sink in. Why?, I don't have a clue.

Also, it means that some Anandtech readers aren't as stupid as Intel thinks most of the rest of the world is.

wat da heezy? it wont let me submit my celerons, it says that the CPU steppings are invalid...

SL48E and SL3VS are REAL steppings....

put a duron up there too :D
