I'm just wondering if I bought everything the same except got the A8V Delux instead of the Neo Plat, would I or could I count on getting the same results overclocked?

What is a reasonable expectation.

The reason I'm not to keen on the Neo Plat 2 it 1) it seems like it has some problems and b)new egg won't RMA it, you can only return it for the same item. I think that speaks for itself. This policy does not apply toward the Asus (which I've used in the past) nor the ABIT boards.

The other board I'm looking at is the more $$$$ Gigabyte with nforce3 ($189) but apparently has wonderful FIRE (T.I.) which is supposed to be great for audio work.

Thanks, need to know am buying soon.

Your best result will come from a nForce3 Ultra chipset board, like the MSI, Epox, or Gigabyte. I personally would go with the Epox, looks like a great board. Good Luck!

The motherboard is a very important factor in overclocking, I would not expect the same results, since they use different chipsets.
