AnandTech appears different at work

Any ideas of why AnandTech forums might appear different on my work computer. They are more text-like at work.

Thanks,

Jeff

EDIT: The strangest thing just happened. I've been looking for weeks at work with the more text-like feeling. IMMEDIATELY after posting this here at teh Forum Issues, the Forums at work appear fine.

WEIRD!

nah...just your personal sysadmin/watcher trying to keep you happy whilst you are at work 😛

but more likely not

well it's back, with the text-like feel.

EDIT: now after logging in, it seems to be back to the correct view, without the text-y feel.

Seems to look better when logged in....

Well, at work all the graphics at AnandTech show after login.

but at home the graphics show whether I'm logged in or not.

How about checking out Profile/Personal Option settings which may
be diferent on work computer than home box.......

I can check out profile....

At work...there isn't all the graphics...or not at much with nice fonts....just mostly text until I log in

Okay, here's a longshot and I'm done.

Some browsers can be configured with minimum graphics so the screen loads faster.
Could that be your case ???

Good Luck, my brain is exhausted.

I had that happen to me a few times over the last week. The background is white, and everything looks like simple text, HTML-formatting style circa 1994, right? I'm guessing that it is some sort of "degraded mode", because it only happened to me the few times that the forums didn't appear to be responding well, if at all. Usually clicking "reload" after a bit, made them appear as normal again. It was the strangest thing.

Yeah, i know what you mean...every once & a while the loading of pages takes forever, & it appears all old-skool.
