You know, those witty email forwards had to have been written by SOMEBODY.

And now that I read the old stuff, I find that there've been a hell of a lot of old boys that I miss...

WombatWoman was awesome.

She was the Forum Motherator

Search for her old posts and you will see who she was.

Thanks for the response. I see!

Well, about my criticism, don't worry. I'm doing my job as a critique. You wouldn't want your work to be evaluated by me 'cuz I tend to be strict. LMAO! :D People do love to come to me to get criticism of their works, though. :p

Anyway, to those asking about WombatWoman: Although I hardly know her, from what I remember reading she left. She was a member who posted materials that people perceived as creative and intellectually stimulating. According to accounts, she had cancer (or am I mistaken?). It resulted in extreme protection [by the mods], in addition to some rumour-mongering problem and false accusations that had surfaced earlier and resulted in bitterness and grudges amongst members involved. Dennilfloss was her friend too, and they were supposedly engaged or something. I have no idea the truth of many statements, especially hearsay. I am only stating things from my memory, per your enquiries. If I have made any false or misleading statements, please feel free to correct my error, as it is certainly not intentional.

I don't know about all that stuff, but I do seem to recall that she was sick. I dunno if it was cancer or what...

Thunderbooty, happykitten, Texmaster and (thank god) Jerboy. They may still lurk or use other names...but their former personas are gone...

now let me be critical. you used CRITIQUE incorrectly. critique would be the work of criticism and CRITIC would be the person that wrote it.

Thanks for your attempts to correct me, PlatinumGold, but check for definition here: Critique. It may be archaic/obsolete, but it certainly can be used as a noun to mean one who criticises.

The Presence: Hzl is still here. She just rarely posts.

Marty The Maniac, yes some have changed their nicks or were banned, but I'm saying majority listed didn't leave for good due to a ban.

She also had arthritis, as I recall.

[Howard:] "[The Presence:] 'I don't know about all that stuff, but I do seem to recall that she was sick. I dunno if it was cancer or what...'

I know nothing about her having arthritis. Actually, I kind of recall reading once something like that. However, what I do know and remember is that she was said to have a terminal illness, later described as cancer. I have no idea what specific cancer. Perhaps it explains the enormous obligation that the mods felt to protect her. We have a tendency as humans to be extremely protective of anyone who's said to be extremely ill or who is long gone. I guess it's based upon our beliefs in superstitions or guilt trip due to subconscious fear, and of course the perception of one being extremely vulnerable when ill.

[Pepsi90919:] "uhm i dunno how correct that is ... he was engaged to his alter-ego that he created and then killed. wasn't it NOWHEREMOM?"

This could get confusing. I am certain that Dennilfloss and she had a tight or close relationship at some point. It is because of her relationship with Dennilfloss that she became the target of malicious attacks or mockery. The whole Dennilfloss alter ego (i.e., Nowheremom) fiasco didn't help, as it made some people conclude that she was his alter ego too because of her extreme closeness to Dennilfloss.

I am willing to take back the "engagement" statement if untrue. However, I can affirm that Dennilfloss and she had a close friendship, on the internet at least, that transformed into more.
