Hello,
I dont know if this is the right forum or not, but I think it would be great if Anand put out a HOW TO setup guide either with his motherboard reviews or every now and then when say a new chipset comes out.
I only ask this because I notice alot of times motherboards like the Asus A7V (athlon thunderbird) board will get a great review, yet there are always tons of people saying "I cant get my A7V to work with my Geforce, even tho thats the same card that was used in the review..... Now I doubt these people are just stupid, simply because I see so many different people post those kinds of problems.
So, I think the best thing would be for Anand (or one of the other editors, or whoever setups the test systems) would write an explantion of how they go about configuring their systems or even a page in the review "special setup settings". It could be something as simple as:
1- Connect CPU, RAM, Video & HD only to motherbaord
2- Run win2k or 9x setup
3- Do basic install, setup via 4-1 driver before installing whatever driver
4- Install other drivers & Other hardware
Or however the hell it goes.
Thanks,
Chris
