We have opened this thread so that you may all express your reaction to and opinion of Anand's announcement only. We ask that you remain respectful towards him, us and each other and that you refrain from posting unfounded rumor or inflammatory speculation.

Those who nevertheless insist on posting attack "opinions" and/or baseless, unproven BS will be vacationed, not infracted.

We hope this is clear enough for everyone. Err on the side of politeness, consideration, and respect, please.

Please take any substantive complaints you have about moderator actions, as always, to Mod Discussions.

What announcement? I don't see any.

Oh I see it now, brb.

Wow, I had no idea the 'forum breach' and this internet forum was such a BIG deal to people. Jesus Christ, what's the most thing mods are gonna talk about- banning members?

If this e-drama was such a big deal to you some people, you need to SERIOUSLY step outside and get some sun.

It was honestly a little anti-climactic.

Simple is better. Leaves less room for arguments.

He plainly said theres no solid evidence to convict moderators of wrong doing. Which is a polite way of saying "let this shit go".

I wish I was here for all the forum drama. :( I was away from my computer for a few days and so all I did was sometimes check my User CP and see the thread jump a few hundred posts every day.

That's nice and all, but it really didn't answer anything. What happened to the whole the truth will be revealed post we were promised this morning?

imo the mods do a good job, for the most part. sometimes there are some inconsistencies, and sometimes I think people get away with too much(or too little), but usually there aren't any major problems that I see.

Thank you Anand for caring enough to look into this personally, and respecting us enough to address it publicly.

the audacity of all of those involved. they should be punished with a minimum of 3 months ban. had i, as an honest member of this community, saw this breach, i would have called Anand himself. but since i don't have his number, i would have reported it to Perkynose. but then again you told me not to report anything, so maybe i would've just not done anything.

Honestly, I didn't think Anand played an active role in the moderation of this forum. I mean, it's his technically, I guess, but I had his username on my buddy list for the longest time and it never looked like he was on here that much. Maybe he was mostly cloaked or under an alternate identity, hmmm.. oh well, Thanks care!

The real question is, should they or should they not be made to smell the glove?

There have been plenty of people here smelling the glove and playing lapdog all day.

That's enough for you. You were warned.

It's dark and raining outside. :(

Or else it may be that, when necessary, he can be summoned here to put out some fires. What I've heard though is that most of his time is devoted to the main site.

Not much to say about it really. The boss says he's ok with what happened, and that we should be too. I'm not entirely certain that I am, but I'll get over it.

Please open the moderator discussion forum.

Keeping it private does nothing other than breed mistrust for the moderators. InfoHawk said it rather nicely in the giant thread:

I feel he is disconnected from the user base here and doesn't care about the well being of this forum. It's a shame a few bad apples can ruin the whole bunch. It's his forum and he can run it as he see fit, so what if all the people here leave, no biggie.
