Launching with Android 1.6 was also a mistake. I suspect many of the performance problems to be solved by the 2.2 update later this year, but until then I view the Streak as untouchable.

Well duh, I think everyone said that about the Streak when they learned it'd be launching with Donut.

1.6 blech :\

Though.. Engadget is reporting the US release might be 2.2..

That article is odd, since the streak is suppose to be out now. Were they delaying the US launch till 2.1, and deciding to skip it and go straight to 2.2?

Or are they launching with 1.6, and the plans to upgrade to 2.1 are being bypassed in favor of going straight to 2.2?

They're already on sale, and ship with 1.6. It looks like Dell is skipping 2.1 for 2.2 when they plan to update the device in the US though. I.E. you update from 1.6 straight to 2.2 whenever they release the update.

With 2.1 out, the review is already outdated.

UK only, so no it's not outdated since 1.6 is what Streaks are shipping with.

2.1 is not even officially out in the UK, so why are you even posting crap like that?
