So back to the point at hand...Matrox coming into the picture should make things very interesting... I´m pretty excited to see what happens with the market in the next few months... Good time to buy a vid card.

Good for Matrox.

It's always good to have more competition in a market: the consumer wins with lower prices, more selection, and more innovative products to choose from. What worries me, is if the video chipset market is large enough to support another line of products. Will we see a merger in the months to come?

In the meantime, I gotta agree with Anand: "...you shouldn't expect the Parhelia-512 to compete with the GeForce4 Ti 4200 anytime soon...".

nv will beat matrox with a super small resolution , and low quatlity display settings..but turn up the resolution and up the display settings..and guess what, i will bet money matrox will beat graphics card. framerates arnt everything. but then again the matrox card isnt out yet. matrox makes nice stuff. quality.
