Anand cpu charts?

I wish Anandtech would have CPU charts and GPU charts like THG has, it really helps when you finally want to buy a new cpu and are wondering what is the real life difference between the models you consider buying.

I say this because I tend to like Anandtech more than THG but I find myself using THG more when actually buying parts.

agreed I love the cpu & gpu charts at THG, but the anand forums have the best advice/opinions around.

I head to XS forums for questions about extreme Ocing, and stay here for just about every other hardware/oc related discussion. I'm also wondering why anand hasn't done a bit on wolfdale overclocking when hardocp, thg, xbitlabs, and expreview have all done an article.

Seems kinda strange, but we got 3 versions of a macbook air review. 8)

I think the reason is that Anandtech likes to be more accurate. I'm pretty sure that the various Tom's charts (I refer to their VGA charts on occasion) are not true apples-to-apples comparisions because there may be different test platforms and driver versions. However, I do understand the allure of having such convenient comparison charts.

I think to have such an accurate chart you need to retest all cards on the same platform every six months or something like that which is probably too much for any site to do.

not too much for toms! They get lots of free hardware from various manufacturers and could probably get some help testing if they asked for it. 😉

I like their charts sometimes, too, but they are not consistent. Their video card chart has changed several times in the past few months. They have changed the ranking of the top end for both nvidia and amd cards for 3 months running now. I wonder what they'll cook up for us for march?
