Anamorphic Wide Screen

Hello. I am trying to learn about Anamorphic Wide Screen stuff. I am working on putting together some video clips, and i want to do them in a 2.35:1 16x9 wide screen. Does anyone know for ultimate use, a good resolution that would be good on the computer and or tv/dvd/cd?

Start from the base DVD resolution for whichever region you're in. (720x480 for NTSC, 720x576 PAL.) You'll need source in 2.35:1 if you're going to play around with anamorphic as well.
