I'm doing some work at the community television station where they record everything on SVHS and have some analog editing equipment.
I asked the tech guy there if they have the equipment needed to transfer the SVHS onto a firewire HD I could bring in. he said they have a DV deck with firewire and analog input, and he thinks it would be possible to hook up the HD and record it onto there.
I'm not to sure.... do you think that would work? how do firewire HD's work exactly? can they just record a firewire video stream?
