Analog Video Choice - My Head Is Spinning

I cannot go on like this ad nauseum! I need a reasonable VIVO option (analog in) or I will never get the budget release to build my dream system. I am limited to about 175-200 for the card. ATItics vs. GFXtics leave my head spinning. Is there a legitimate basis for preference? And among branded versions, does one stand above others for any reason other than price?

Dream rig will be A7N8X DLX, Caviar 120, 2500+ Barton, in an Antec SX635BII enclosure. Will dual channel 2-512MB.

Why not just buy a separate PCI TV tuner (w/VIVO, obviously), thus allowing you to choose any video card you want and to upgrade at will without losing VIVO. Plus, most TV tuners come with remotes and other useful features which you may find useful.

Otherwise, I think there are some Radeon and some GeForce FX cards that offer VIVO, you just have to look for them. ATi may still have superior TV out, but I don't know about TV in.

I have been exploring AIW9000, GFX5600, GFX5200 options. I know there are bunches out there. I also see all kinds of postings on incompatibilities, flakes, flukes, features that don't work, temperature issues. . . .what I guess I want is someone who is gaming and transferring video to DVD that is HAPPY with what the solution they chose.

I like my AIW cards. You won't get a "dream" gaming performance for less than $200, but the AIW 7500 will do 90% of what my AIW 9700 pro will as far as video capture and multimedia features are concerned. You may find a AIW 8500 128 for your budget, or even a 64 MB AIW 9000. They represent a good value performance/features.
