At my office, I have a basic analog PBX phone, no Caller ID and no speakerphone. I've been getting a lot of spam calls so I would love Caller ID. I get put on hold a lot, so speakerphone would be handy. My work does offer an Avaya 9116 Caller ID phone, but it would cost me $92 to go through my work. I brought a personal Caller ID phone from home and the phone worked fine for incoming and outgoing calls, but Caller ID and message waiting indicator didn't work. Does there exist a PBX to POTS Caller ID adapter to make those features work on a standard POTS phone? The phones offered by my work are Avaya models, the only analog Caller ID unit offered is the Avaya 9116. Is there an analog PBX standard, or would I need an Avaya 9116?
