Unfortunately Jack Black is co-starring which means he will over-act and ruin the every scene he is in.
yes, but if you ruin a bad film, does that mean you turn it into a good film?
While you ponder the question, i have watched:
Lucky -
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5859238/reference/
starring, and practically dedicated to, Harry Dean Stanton.
Stanton is a 90yo guy who lives a quiet life. .. i'm tempted to almost as "and that's it". And that's not too far from the truth.
As he goes about his daily life, he has a few reflections on old age, and the inevitability of death.
Still-alive in 2017 David Lynch also has a part, as a tortoise owner who has lost his tortoise, and just like Stanton has accepted that there's nothing he can do to make the tortoise come back.
I was disappointed by this film. Sure, there's .. a bit of dialogue, there's images; there's even scenes, but the script is practically nonexistent and i feel that the writer was missing both content and inspiration. According to IMDb, it's been written by two guys who has this film as their only writing credit, and directed by supporting actor John "Not Related to David" Lynch, who has a one directing credit as well, this film. A group of guys who don't know how to do the job got together and decided to wing it, and Lucky is the result.
My vote:
5.5/10
