Ok so I'm not made of money and still want to get away from my much older athlon 1200 processor. I'm on a limited budget and was looking to have a comparison of a few older(IE: cheaper) processors.
I have an Abit AN7 motherboard in mind as to be the host for the processor. I already have a gig stick of DDR400 to go into the board.
Now my question is I can get a 2800 Athlon XP for 80ish thats the 333mhz bus speed. Or I can pay 120ish and get a 3200 XP on the 400mhz bus speed. I understand the 3200 at 400mhz bus will be faster but is it so much faster that the 40 extra bucks will be well spent or will it be a small difference in the end?
For reference the games I play are World of Warcraft(which takes the majority of my time on my PC) and as soon as it's released black and white 2 is really the only other game I'd play on the PC at this time. So nothing incredibly demanding. Hence why I can get away with a cheaper upgrade. Being mainly into MMORPG's one game will last me a few years so no need to constantly upgrade.
Thanks for any help on the matter.
