The first place I took it into thought it was most likely coolant, so we checked around the radiator, and noticed a few problems with the radiator - simple, cheap stuff - like the radiator cap not holding in pressure, etc. Anyway...after that, the smoke went away for a while - but now it's back. I called up Superior Subaru in Seattle, and it turns out that it is an oil leak - apparently near the camshaft, or something to that effect. The leak itself isn't that expensive to repair, but it leaks onto the timing belt, so that has to be repaired too. Oh well. $450 later, the car should be back up and running smoothly. First repair of any significance we've had to do on good ol' Soob... L
We're taking it in for the repair on Thursday, so here's hoping all goes well.
