I give up. If u guys can help that would be great. I bought a Pionner 103S which is still under manufacturer warranty. The store I bought it from is no longer in business. I'm trying to do an RMA on the product cos it's dead. I contacted Pionner customer service. I can't count tne number of times i've been transfered to other departement. They gave me 5 times number of pionner authorized center for HOME DVD :(. At last, I reached someone who knew what he was talking about: I should return it to the store I bought it from and then they should return it to their distributor which is unfeasible because it's no longer in business.
Can u guys share some tips on that? I'm in canada
Thx

Three years ago I returned a Pioneer CD-ROM to my distributer for replacement and waited eight months...never did get it but convinced the distributer to refund most of what I paid for it. Stupid me...went and bought a Pioneer DVD-ROM recently. Just hope I don't end up regreting it. BTW, I too am in Canada.

Well Hagbard seems i've been screwed too. Finaly managed to contact the direct pionner service and they told me that the warranty for the drive is no longer valid because it's more than 12 month eventhough i've bought it 3 months ago. They start counting the warranty since the manufacture. I guess that's a total loss. My next drive will be a tohsiba for sure, those solt pionner are too fragile.

Some of these manufactures are real sh*ts. I'm going to get off of this whole upgrade treadmill. Did you by any chance paid by VISA? If so, check and see about extended warranty. Even the basic cards offer this.
