an Outlook Express Q.

Hello All,
After a fresh install of WinXP and all of the necessary drivers that goes along with it I finally got to my email account so here is my problem
for some reason Outlook Express (6) will not keep the settings stored.

When I start it up and then check my email it immediatly gives me one of those yellow flag warnings saying that the connection was not successful
(or something like that) so I then open up the Outlook Express (6) properties and then I find that the setting for my INCOMING MAIL had changed to
*LOCAL HOST* (without the stars)

so I then insert the correct info and then everything is working correct but after closing out the program and then starting it up again I find the same problem is there again.

It also does it with Microsoft Outlook, do you guys have any suggestions?

Some antivirus programs do this. What AV do you have?

Hi jemcam, thanks for responding. I am currently using at the same time PC-Cillin 2003 and Bitdefender (full version)
