I'm doing this in off topic because it affects the people here more than anywhere else, and Forum Issues just doesn't get the attention that OT gets.

I challenge you to post an explanation as to why you blatantly allowed Felix to call Millenium a 'f** lover' while banning Millenium for pointing out a double standard. Are you a homophobe? Are you afraid of opening yourself up to the review of the rest of the community?

I don't fully agree with why HappyPuppy was banned, and I'm not quite alone on that, but I can at least understand to a point why he was. However, the only thing I saw Millenium do wrong was question the enforcement of the rules here. His post was not remotely offensive to anyone if taken in context. All he did was point out how screwed up it is that people openly bash on gay people here and yet if someone directs a racial or religious slur, they're instabanned. He didn't candy coat it, he said it with conviction and even though he and I don't agree on some things, I'll be damned if I can't respect the man for it. I don't think anyone here can deny that while his methods may have been flawed, the fact he pointed out is undeniable and deserves attention.

Considering these forums survive because of the people who choose to congregate here, and the ad revenue that those people bring in, I believe we at least deserve to have an explanation for this. Actually, I believe in a situation like this, the feelings of the community should be taken into account -- however, if we can't get that, we at least deserve an explanation and from this point on fair enforcement of the rules.

So, moderator at large, will you do the right thing, the just thing, and explain yourself without hitting the ban button? Or will you do what the community and I have unfortunately come to accept from you and lock the topic, and give me a vacation for daring to question your authority?

The ball is in your court...

Oh, and if I get a vacation for this, see you all when I get back :) My AIM username is nan0bug00, keep in touch because I'll probbably be pretty bored without being able to hang out here.

Yeah sorry it doesn't work dude, it's been done.

I hereby restate my belief that all Mods should be assigned "Badge Numbers" so that there is actually some accountability for their actions, while they still retain the anonymity that they need to protect them from retaliations.

The mods do not owe us any explanation. What he said was stupid. Wait a month and he'll be back.

Hopefully this issue will be brought up enough so the moderators will consider the actions of their own.

If we knew that, they'd be exposed to childish stupidity like sending them porn spam for actions they disagree with.

I dont necessarily agree with Mill's banning, but what can you do about it?

the mods have the authority and the power to ban any of us whether its fair or not.

I got a vacation for something petty, I dealt with it.

Life goes beyond an internet forum

It's something I've been saying for over a year, I just never got banned for it. Everyone comes out of the woodwork to bash gay people openly here as it if was trivial, yet as soon as race comes into play...

At any rate, I'm glad things like this happen, it shows that people still care about what's right.

why was happypuppy banned?

Because he started a thread about his dog eating poop.

From what I remember it was because he was spamming the forum, the mods threatened him with a vacation if he didn't stop and he posted another thread.

HappyPuppy asked for it. I can see the double standard with Millenium, but his post was pretty psychotic.

What he said was stupid? Is the truth stupid to you? The situation with Millenium's ban and the fact that FelixDeCat is not banned is hypocrisy at it's best.

No, but I like to think it's also not a moronarchy and that they are willing to take steps to improve their response.

Accountability to who? The mods know who banned who already. What's the point of us knowing "Moderator 12782" banned person x?

The funny thing is the people who got banned probably take this less seriously than some people on here.............
