An old man at the subway Saluted me with a Heil Hitler complete with SS wave and stomp..

So I was heading to school this morning and at the subway, I saw an old man (probly homless) in a corner. Since I had lots of spare chance, i threw in about $4 in coins in his helmet used as a donation box.

He immediately stood up...i thought he was going to kick my ass for giving him coins or giving him too little. Intead he did the Nazi SS Heil Hitler salute to me complete with a stomp on the foot. Like those in the movies...? I am like WTF?

People have different and often highly idiosyncratic ways of expressing their enthusiasm or appreciation, especially the mentally ill.

The subway metrocard machines in NYC and for the MTA in general give dollar coins back as change, so if you buy a $4 metro card with a $10 bill, you'll get 6 of those stupid coins. Though, that doesn't rule out the possibility that the OP is using a man purse to carry around tons of change.
