After reading Design Dawg's thread: http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.cfm?catid=38&threadid=270591, especially his comment that new members should 1) lurk, 2) introduce themselves, and 3) join the AT community, I figured I would follow his advice...
After years of lurking and actually joining once before (both here and on Russ's board), I have finally started posting here as of last month. Honestly, its wierd to feel like you know a bunch of people (online personalities at least) who have no clue who you are. I'm sure its wierd having someone you don't know feel like they know you too!
But I wanted to actually introduce myself and hopefully the meager 20 or so posts I have demonstrate that the last thing I plan to be is a Troll or Nef!
Nickname: Optimus - taken from my favorite toys as a kid (and today), the Transformers. Mid twenties, married, one beautiful baby daughter, work in software development for a huge software company, Canadian. (...likes long walks on the beach, etc... ha ha.)

I've tried to mix fairly easy with somewhat remote - still should be a snap for many, but maybe a trip down memory lane?
