What phones do you have with you now?
I have two iPhones, a [Google] Nexus One, a [Motorola] Droid, plus a Garmin [GPS] and TomTom [GPS]. I turn them all on at the same time, plus the navigation system in my Prius.
What's your favorite phone?
The iPhone, because of the apps. By the way, I solved the problem of battery life and [the lack of] multitasking on the iPhone.

Yeah. I just have two iPhones, so if the battery runs down on the first one, I can use the other. And if I'm talking on one, I can use the other one to look something up. You would not believe how much use I get out of that.

Now they have the ideal thing. They can go to college and someone may have a whacked-out $6,000 laptop, but the guy with the iPad will get all the attention.

I'm not Apple fanboy - but he's probably right... for the first couple of months anyway. If you showed up here at work with a $6000k laptop it would get a bit of interest from the gamers, but if you showed up with an iPad - and I'm sure in a couple of days a bunch of people will - they will have a big crowd around them. Heck, I'll join them.

I'm not going to buy an iPad - I'm still trying to decide if I want a tablet at all. But I am intrigued enough that I'll join the crowd around whichever of my co-workers pre-ordered one.

Back to the OP, I always like reading Woz. He always strikes me as the super-geek turned into a millionaire. I totally identify with the guy (being a major geek myself) and he says stuff that I generally agree with - if I had lots of money. I like that he just seems to say it like he sees it.

I've ordered one for a friend. Then I ordered two for myself. One with the Wi-Fi and one with the 3G. And I'll go to the store on Friday night and wait in line, just for fun.

If I were Woz, I would totally go stand in line for an iPad for fun. He's right.

oh im not doubting it will happen, im just amazed that people can be so sheepy like that, and easily impressed with crap like this. i own apple products, so im not a hater by any means. only time i really say anything either way is when im out drinking with my one friend that works for apple, then its little jabs about my winmo phone being better than his iphone hehe.
