Just posting this to bring attention to the Pale Moon project. With Firefox's upcoming changes, some of you may be looking for an alternative with a sane interface; or at least an interface that doesn't ape Chrome. I wish I could use it, but I don't run Windows. I keep hoping for a GNU/Linux fork that keeps the classic interface, but stays modern underneath.

Pale moon is my favorite browser

ever since I started using it, I can't use Firefox anymore as Pale Moon is much faster, all the extensions of Firefox work, and the interface is much better

Thank you, a good read. I still hope that FF interface is able to be changed once they morph it

I've been using Palemoon for almost an year now, and while the interface is much better, the performance isn't really that better than the standard firefox..

true, I feel they're the same I just use it for the interface.

All those behind the scenes tweaks like improvement for multi core CPUs and more RAM ..I don't see how it's helping...Chrome still shits all over Firefox and Pale Moon in terms of page loading speed but I just hate its interface so much to the point I cannot stand using it

Long time Pale Moon user. Found this thread on a Google search.

He must really like wolves. LOL http://wolfbeast.com/index.html

He lives right near an air force base in Sweden which if he has a scanner that can pick up the military band would make for some great listening.

Ehhh I don't see any major differences with Cyberfox than with palemoon or even waterfox, just cyber has a slightly more clumsy interface.

I don't mind the new interface, but I'm not as keen on all the addon bloat they keep adding. Like Pocket, Firefox Hello and Share This Page.

It's actually a piss off. One of the reasons they gave for removing features/customization options was they require too much maintenance, and are best served by addons. I didn't really buy it, but if you squinted a little, it looked like it made sense. They then add a bunch of crap I don't want that would clearly be better served via addon :^S

If they want to strip it down, they should strip it down, and have an official, maintained by Mozilla collection of addons people can add if they choose to.

Thanks... Im liking it so far. Palemoon was stuttering lately on my media server I use for mild browsing occasionally. It isn't a fast PC, but it should have been good enough to handle the browsing portion. Cyberfox is running nice a smooth.
