An interesting statistic...

Lifer
There have been 266,514 participants
since the beginning of this project.
38,189 of them were active yesterday.

This is 14.3%

Contrast that with the Team AnandTech RC5 retention level:

626 active yesterday,
2585 since the beginning.

This is 24.2%

Maybe we're not doing that bad.

Interesting stat. I know we crack more blocks per person compaired to DPC and /. but what about the rest of the dnet teams? I would think we are or close to being the most efficient team around.

If my vote counts, I think we are doing fine. I really hate it when someone quits, but doesn't fully explain why he is quitting. I can think of a thousand valid reasons for quitting TA or RC5. If I decide to quit that in no way should be considered a negative reflection on the team. People come and go all the time, it's called - life.

If you enjoy what you are doing then you should probably stay.

The important thing is to be happy with what you are doing.

you may want to add

out of 626 active yesterday, 125 started in 1998 and have contributed 102,670,390 blocks

we are doing good!!

Gee Dale,

You don't have anything better to do than go through the stats of 626 active members, pull out the ones that started in 1998, and then count their total blocks, all on a Friday Night?

Man, you must be Married. 😉

actually not married,

it is just not that hard to click a mouse button once you get the hang of it ; )

probably took me less than time than it took you to make such a contructive comment ; )

but it is a boring Friday night though

..dale

Still though, TA has kept on chugging and has made it to #2 with #1 in sight with alot fewer members than most teams.................

Now if only we could get a few more % back on board....The problem doesn't lie in front of us..It's behind us! ..and creeping up very quickly🙁

I had an idea last week when scrollong thru the TA members stats on DNET, it could be spam, and it could be rude, but it was an idea, maybe someone will want to do this:

Every time i cam across a member who hasn't sumbitted blocks within the last month, I wanted to hit the "Email Me My Password" button to maybe remind them about cracking and possibly get them back into it somewhat. Just a thought...

Train -
Nice thought, but I got smacked down for suggesting that very idea about 3 weeks ago. Seems DNET considers that "spam"...

Personally, I don't see the problem with a "gee we miss you" e-mail - but, many think otherwise.

Dan, his idea is a bit different, would remind someone of RC5 tis all. Although I don't think Dnet would like it too much if we "accidentally" clicked on the send password link to non-active participants. I know I didn't like it too much when I got my password emailed to me thanks to some guy in Australia.
