An interesting side effect of the re-election

I think the hyperaggressive counter-counter-culture Pubs are quickly becoming despondent over their victory. Of course there was elation at first, the team took home the cup! Who wouldn't be thrilled? The problem is, these people thrive on conflict and the stalwart-victim self image and now that they've discovered they're in the "majority" they've lost the basis of their struggle.

I was listening to Savage an hour or two ago and the man is literally soul searching, he spent a good 45 minutes just trying to find something he wanted to talk about. He starts rambling about how maybe he should start trying to find a cure for cancer with his PHD (in NUTRITION mind you...) or why one Jaguar sports car is better than another, etc. Not only was he at a total loss, he didnt have a single caller the entire time I had him on. It was sighing, moaning and complaining for almost an entire hour... ABOUT NOTHING.

He has to say something, that's his job. He can't just sit there silent as a mouse for 2 hours, but the man had nothing to say. Sure once or twice he nearly blew a fuse about "TEH GEY AJENDA" but those are about the only times his pulse ever registered, and only briefly at that.

Crimson I suspect is leaving for similar reasons. The guy thrives on a good fight where he can feel like the admonished underdog against fighting the oppressors, only problem is, he now knows he's nowhere near the underdog. He's the majority, and really, where's the fun in that? I don't entirely blame him, savage, or any of the other despondant whacko's because I can actually relate to them. It sucks to have nothing to fight for.

Perhaps this represents a much broader trend that we will bare witness to over the coming months and years. Now that the Republicans have removed any question whatsoever about their status as the "majority" ideology, they might just fall off the political stage until they actually feel threatened and get all riled up about their delusional victimizing self image. If that's that case, see you f4ckers in '07. I hope you can find your way out from under the rock you'll bury yourselves under.

Why would someone with a PhD in nutrition be qualified to find a cure for cancer?

I have no idea, the man suffers from delusions of grandeur.

had to do a search to find out .

Trained as a scientist, he holds Master's degrees in medical botany and medical anthropology and earned his Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley in Epidemiology and Nutrition Science

Maybe not related but he certainly seems as educated as any liberal could ever hope to be. ;-)
