remind me to never read anything written by Annie Jacobsen or posted on womenswallstreet.com again, i mean comeon - this is media play it its best. Absolutely rediculous. I can only assume because of the "vivid" details of that story that half of them were assumptions and very biased. Its just a scare tactic.

Yea I found there were lots of pre-conceived notions.

Even at the end when it was revealed they were legit and musicians, did you check out the last comment?

Interesting :p

I found this article when I installed "Abilon" my first attempt at using an RSS reader. Just thought it would be interesting fodder. . .

Read this article the other day.

Figured a thread on it would just turn into the typical jackass flamepit.

What I experienced during that flight has caused me to question whether the United States of America can realistically uphold the civil liberties of every individual, even non-citizens, and protect its citizens from terrorist threats.

I don't understand how what happened on that flight affected this. The men's belongings should have been searched before they got on the plane. That's not a violation of civil liberties. True, they were acting extremely suspicious, but still. Where do civil liberties play into this?

I would of taken action! I would of stood up and spoken out to all the American men and put a stop to their actions and made then sit down.

If it would of turned out to be nothing, Oh well but it might of stoped their plans brfore any damage was done.

That whole article seemed like paranoia to me. She was even trying to make a deal out of the fact that they were using one way tickets instead of returns. WTF? Then her reasoning behind being non racist was flawed. If you're flying on a plane full of Muslims would you be afraid of MUSLIM terrorists blowing it up???? Or would you be more concerned if you were on a plane full of enemies of Allah? :p
