An inexpensive C2D overclocking mobo

Seems like all the mobos for the new C2D processors cost an arm and a leg but is there a budget mobo out yet that lets you get good OCs with minimum changes to vcore, etc?

I just dont think the words "inexpensive" and "overclocking" go well together. It seems from all the reviews I have seen that most "value" mobo's have very modest OC'ing ability and to get decent OC'ing you simply must spend more $. Even then this OC'ing of of C2D mobo's has some many variables. You get mixed reiviews of the exact same mobo's based upon configuration (mostly memory). One board and memory configuration works fine..use a different memory and it wont even post...duh!! This DDR2 crap of 1.8 vlt memory and 2 or 2.1 vlt memory one board needs one kind and another wants another kind..where the hell is this all going and how does one keep all the facts straight. Doesnt this seem like it should be easier than it turns out to be?

I suppose the cheapest really good overclocking mobo is the Gigabyte DS3. Its running about $140 I think. Might be able to find it cheaper. Gotta shop around. There are cheaper mobos but they dont overclock as well from what I heard.

The Asus P5B-E should be out in the next week or two for around $120-129, early previews show it to be quite the overclocker.

Nonsense. Socket 754 had several $60-80 motherboards that were great overclockers. Socket 939 and AM2 are not far behind. My socket AM2 Sempron 2800+ can get about an extra GIGAHERTZ on an $80 Biostar Tforce board.
