An in-Windows problem..

I'm running Windows 98 (SE) with my DSL connection and AIM running. After Windows has been running for about four hours, I notice something I think is particular odd.. If I'm typing in an AIM window or going somewhere using IE window, the window becomes.. I dunno how I could say it.. I guess 'inactive'. I have to click the mouse button to start typing again otherwise nothing happens. It's currently happened three times so far while I've been typing this.. If I reset, it goes away and everything, but I like to keep my machine on for days and hopefully even weeks at a time. Does anyone know what this might be?

sounds like some other process (or program) that runs periodically is taking the active window away from the one you are looking at then you have to click on it to get it back to that one...
i mean if this happens over time... (say a few hours) i wouldn't worry about it... but if it happens while typing midstream i would try to find out what program it is...
what version of aim (beta or final) and what version of IE are you running

Yeah, it happens like.. About every ten to fifteen seconds after I last click a window.. So it happens while I'm typing a lot. I'm using AIM v4.4.2241 and IE 6 (beta, right?).

might be a bug in ie6... but i couldn't say for sure... i don't run betas for stuff like ie cuz i don't wanna have any prob... 😉 i can wait...
just for kicks you might want to try to put in 5.5sp1...
