I overheard some people talking about not eating anything living, including plants/vegetation, unless it was "completely natural". For example, they would not pick fruit off of a plant unless it fell off of it naturally.

I've never heard of this type of veganism before. Apparently they were oppose to both people who eat animals or plants that were "destroyed/killed". I guess they would view even pure vegans as "monsters" or "killers", just like those who eat meat?

This sounds like a recipe for starving to death unless you live under a coconut tree.

Its called the Raw Food Diet. Did a research paper on it. It would be an absolute bitch to follow as everything has to be raw(uncooked) when u eat it, and making things taste good without cooking it is kinda hard.

I think level 10 is when you develop chloroplasts and start producing your own food.

I'm guessing these guys survive by having an orchard of various fruits trees. Dinner time is when an apple drops down.

Pulling carrots out from the ground to eat would be consider genocide.

So if the fruit is overripe but still attached to the tree they won't eat it?

Friend of mine told me a story (which I think may well be just made up, but who cares, it's a good story) about some monks somewhere who restrict their eating more and more over time, eventually getting to the point where they can't bring themselves to eat anything that may harm any living organism (even plants or bacteria), and they starve to death.
