This morning I put together a poll
http://forums.anandtech.com/me...2&threadid=1431047
when I got to work I showed it to the guys.
One of them Lets call him Skippy decided that being a BIG bush supporter he would vote in it.
so he starts an account and post some very right wing ignorant stuff.
he got insta-banned "it was cool to see how quick the mods are on this kind of thing"

so then he starts ANOTHER account and posts again even quoting his first post which was by the way deleted he had to copy/paste it from another quote.

So I log on a little later to check my poll and get a mad mod message saying I created an acct to flame or troll or something.

I track down Skippy and chew his arse and he emailed the mods and explained.:frown:

so his account is locked and I feel I owe everyone an apology I am sorry If this offended anyone.

You never stop with the partisan attacks do you? Damn you're a shameless troll.

This is P&N, if you don't want to talk about Democrats and Republicans I think there is a place called OT.

Talking about them is one thing....the constant trolling you do is another.

i can define it.

Jeebus you seem to only post when I'm the topic...

You have no evidence that my intention is to create flamewars. I will take this to PM to show that is not my intention.

infohawk, lets let P&N decide if you are a troll or not. create a thread with a poll asking if you troll. yes or no for possible answers. i think even the liberal P&N can conclude that you indeed do try to troll all the time.

oh, and no evidence? just off the top of my head, i remember a thread last week comparing slave holders to conservatives today. thats just obsurd. (especially since it was the democratic party supporting slavery, and the whigs primarily against)

You are stereotyping.

Saying Bush supporters normally create numerous accounts in order to create chaos..

"post some very right wing ignorant stuff."

Sub "left" in for "right" and your statement pretty much fits the bill.

34. troll

a member of an internet forum who continually harangues and harasses others. Someone with nothing to add to the party but rather contributes to the downfall consistently. A person who continually thread jacks or changes the subject of a conversation, as well as thinks every member of the forum is talking about them and only them.

this is an accurate definition of troll and info hawk is not one.

HMMMM I got this message from the mods today in regard to this

"Your friend wrote us, and I replied that we have had a number of new registrations from people who just logged on to post provocative comments with no serious meaning, some of which have been from current members who did not have the guts to post these remarks under their own name. I also said, such comments from newcomers are not making our job any easier.

I told him AT is primarily computer oriented forums, and if he was serious about posting on AT, especially if he wanted to post on more than P&N, I would ask the mod who locked his account if we should unlock his account on Wednesday, after the election.

lol! That's pretty funny. This is the first post of yours that I have enjoyed :)

32. troll

A slanderous racist remark about anyone who is a descendant of the Picts (The red hair, dark pale skin w/ freckles who have been completely bread out with the Scots, Celts, and Anglo-Saxons since 800 A.D. Anyone who is Pictish is a descendant of the only group of Native-Brits there ever was.)

Clodhoppers forever!!!!

You've been brainwashed by liberals. You are not responsible for the actions of another ADULT. There is no need to apologize. If your co-worker acted like an arse, then it's HIS fault. Despite what trial lawyers tell you, adults are still responsible for their OWN actions.
Thank you.

Oldman420,

If your statement was indeed directed at me, I have never posted under any name other than this one.

[..]

I thought we weren't allowed to post PMs from mods.
Not supposed to....I was nearly beaten to death by the S&M Mod for posting something a Mod has PM'd me.

I would like tro see a 'Sticky' as a Wall of Shame and it used as a collector of all those who get caught, and their multiple acounts and names listed
for a point of reference so P&N regulars can check when they see something that indicates a breach of rules and ethics. We can police our own.

They do this as a warning to those who cave been caught cheating in the 'For sale / Trade' forum.

Putting a head on a pike serves as a sufficiennt warning.
