An experiment with cheese.

This experiment was not planned in any way, it was a result of my laziness. 😀

I made some food in the microwave and used Kroger's classic shredded mild cheddar cheese as topping. After cooking I left the bowl full of water. It happened to be left for 1 full week.

So today I came home and decided to clean up the mess. The cheese had kind of disolved and smelled weird so I went on and let some fresh water from the tap flow into the bowl. Now things start to get weird.
Everything turned bright green!:Q
Just like simple green diluted with water. Woa! I wonder what they put in that cheese.

I'm always doing those kind of experiments in my apartment. Did you know that rice left in the rice steamer after a week turns into rice wine? Black hairy stuff grows out of turkey meat after about 2 weeks. Bachelor life sucks.

Maybe.

Before I added fresh water the mix of water + cheese was still 'cheddar yellow' so there must be some kind of chemical reaction similar to the ones used to test for pH.

Maybe I found a new pH indicator. 'When the cheese turns green you now the pH is below 7'. LOL!

Tomatoes left in the fridge for 6 months turn into a green/grey/brown sticky substance with a weird texture and smell that makes me barf.

hahah reminds me, quite a few years ago during summer there were a lot of water melons in the kitchen unrefrigereated. i used a needle and poked some holes on one of them. half a day later it started venting gas and this smelly yellow liquid. lol

nothing like leaving fish in a cooler for about 6 months
it is truly such a bad smell, it is unlikely you could deliberately make yourself smell it for more than 20 seconds with out vomiting.
I am serious.
Try it.

Did you eat any of it? Might turn you into a mutant. It works in the comics, right? 😀
