I left a fleet of 32 machines ghosting (16 in master mode on LAN, 16 in slave mode on LAN) today. How much you wanna bet that when I go back in tommorrow, despite the fact that I stuck signs on each and every one of them that said "DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPUTER, IT IS CURRENTLY BEING SERVICED", taped over the power cuttoff switch on the wall, and taped over all the floppy drives, they've been tampered with.

Indeed. And I intentionally waited to post this until LONG after any actual writing had finished taking place.

I just hope I don't come in tommorrow to a bunch of dead drives, like the LAST time I ghosted this lab (It's made out of piss-poorly refurbed computers from some piss-poor refurb company that uses refurbed parts across the board. I threw out about fifteen 10-gig Maxtor refurbs two days after the warrantees on these systems expired.

They were $600 a pop. P3-650 on a slocket, 128mb RAM, 10gb refurb'd HD's, refurb'd CDROMs, refurb'd Dell Optiplex GX1 platform, $1 ball mice, $1 keyboards. The only parts worth a damn are the shiny Dell 17" Trinitrons.

In short, we got ripped because I wasn't consulted on a purchasing decision.

And no doubt by the same fvckers that caused me to do this in the first place, by turning it into one gigantic hellhole, infested with popup ads, virii, spyware, and copies of Doom3. Apparently they thought they could have a LAN party. They uninstalled the fvcking CAD software to install Doom3, and these boxen have Rage Pro's. What in the name of god were they thinking?

If I ever catch them, I will castrate them and hang them from the walls in my various labs as a warning to future fscktards.

Edit: Also, if I ever find out who the fsck introduced the WinNT password resetter into this school, they won't ever be seen again. That's how they were able to gain access to restricted functions.

White, but I taped them to the monitors. You have to flip them up out of the way to fool around.

You should install that program that causes everyting to revert back to a default image after a reboot so no matter how badly to fvck with, a simple reset button can fix it.

We had that in one lab, but someone just kept fscking the server remotely. I formatted it off and returned the license to circulation.
