WHen i installed my gf4 ti4400 and then installed the nvidia reference drivers(28.32) everything looked ok
-but when i go to Properties, then advanced(to access all the color and brightness, and openGL/direct3d antialiasing stuff) i get this error:

An error occurred while Windows was working with the control panel file C:\WINNT\System32\desk.cpl

i have uninstalled, reinstall with tons of different drivers.. same thing everytime. Somebody help me.

Is there a way to totally remove all drivers form your comp, like all of the files from System32\ put there by the driver. because i dont think they are getting removed.

can someone help me?

there are two fixes on geforcefaq.com

i tried them and did everythinig else imaginable. wouldnt work.

formatted : worked

im building a new comp in 2 weeks, so formatting just seems useless, but i have never had this problem before.

the gf4 ti4400 is for my new comp, but i decided to put it in this one since i havent recieved all my parts yet.

I have tried everything - i think, thats why i am asking here.
