Hi, I share your interest in SETI. I'm writing to ask that you consider moving over to the boinc seti project now, before classic seti is shut down. It would help both projects immensely by freeing up computer and network resources. Thanks! (PS. ask your friends, too!)

Not me. But I would like to know how it's going to free up computer and network resources. As far as I know, they haven't killed SETI Classic yet because everything isn't in place for BOINC to handle the increased traffic. You are going to be using the computer and network resources one way or another.

Did they identify themselves at all?

Seems a bit cheeky....maybe I'll get an email.... 😀

Weird, maybe it was your output that caused them to single you out as I havent recieved any email either.

I wonder if amdxborg got one too, since his outoput is huge too?

Mike

LOL I thought so

But I promise it wasn't me.

Just figured that they would want the heaviest hitters lol

Your SETI EMAIL ADDRESS is supposed to be confidential. I wonder how they got access?

I see, you must have checked the box in your "User Account Information Area" to make your email address visible.

You can avoid similar spam by "un-checking" that option. 😉

Maybe this is our friends over on the BBR side?

No, it's someone on the SETI@Home/BOINC-boards that came up with this idea of "helping" to speed-up the migration...
