how can people sell stuff for so cheap?

i guess i am just a bit miffed that things like charles tyrwhitt shirts, thomas pink cufflinks, or ferragamo ties are so cheap. makes me wonder if they are fake?

Lots of times they are simply stolen from the moving truck. It's usually an inside job where teh truck driver is paid to turn is back so an emplyee can sell them. Where I work, this has happened on numerous occasions.

you see, its a technique on both the seller and buyer. The seller might sell something for like 99 cents, but if you read all the fine print you have to pay a huge shipping and handling fee and sometimes even shipping insurance. Thats how they make money. Also what might seem like a low price is a bait. Bidders circle around the deal until last minute. These are last minute bidders who will drive the price up at the last minute.

but still, 99 dollar cufflinks for 20 bucks? that seems a bit unrealistic. i mean those cufflinks you dont even see on the PINK website.

If you're so concerned about getting fakes on eBay, then buy the real thing at the manufacturer, department store or whatever.
