An appology to Psychoholic....

I would like to express a very earnest appology to Psychoholic. I was extremely adamant about labling him a racist. After reviewing his posts, I've found he has not at all acted in this manner.

As a matter of fact he has been very cool and calm, whereas I've been the exact opposite. Whereas I've been abusive he's been extremely composed.

It was unexcusable for me to level the unfair and counter-productive accusations against him; he has done nothing to deserve them.

The fact he didn't resort to my level says much about his character. He is much better than me in dealing with this.

I will offer no excuse for my actions against him, because they were completely unjustified... they were wrong in every imaginable facet.

Again, I really am sorry for bashing you Psychoholic.

PS. If anyone flames me for being a total asshole in my dealings with Psychoholic, I will not offer any defense, you are completely justified in your actions.

it's better for you people to vent at a total asshole who sorta deserves it than someone who really hasn't done anything...

While we all have different views on how the situation should be handled we should not resort to attacks on each other. Everyone has been on the edge during past week and emotions have been pretty tense at times. I didn't agree with the type of insults that were used against me and I PM'ed xyyz about this. After examining the situation and realizing his actions were wrong he apologized.

I think starting this thread in the public view shows how much he wanted to correct what he had said. He could have just PM'ed me back and handled it in that fashion with most people here never even knowing what had transpired. Instead he chose to take it public and clear the air altogether, I think that says quite a bit about his character. I also think that many here would not choose to do the same. You're a good person for coming forward xyyz and I harbor no hard feelings against you regarding anything that transpired between us.

Seeing xyyz apologize in this public way for being inflammatory makes me a lot more likely to read his posts thoughtfully than someone who's inflammatory without caring what he says. Kudos for having the courage and consideration to post this, xyyz.
