Ok so i got my AMD64 3000 and also got the Zalman Cu7000A Cooler.

My ambient room Temp is around 33 Deg at day time and about 30 deg at night time.

I installed the Zalamn and it took only a few minutes but now the test.

Under stress which is Playing FarCry for a while at Max, the temps Go somewhere near 50 deg, but i havent seen them over 50 yet. But interestingly the BIOS actually shows about 6 Deg Higher than the Windows Software. I have an ASUS K8v SE Deluxe.

What are the optimal Load temperatures for the Room temp mentioend above, also i had a P4 yearlier it would have Idle Temp of 40 deg, now with the AMD64 and a Zalman the Idle temp are still about 40 deg.

What does this mean???

People sometimes believe there is one desired temp for their cpu. Every board gives different readings, depending on the voltage and room temps. 50 celcius isn't that bad for load. My p4 board goes to 64 celcius under load. Another board I use for the same cpu lists the load temp at only 51.
