I understand children do visit these forums so I request that when replying, please be discrete and considerate of such fact. This will also help me since any inapropriate language will definitely get the thread locked.

I'm wondering if there is merit for some concern on my part. A few days ago, I noticed that when I go pee pee, there's a slight burning sensation. This is the first time I've ever had this feeling and wonder if its a sympton of something more drastic. I'm in my mid-20's and consider myself pretty healthy since I do excercise moderately, eat pretty healthy, do not smoke nor drink.

Have any of you have any such experience?

urinary track infection? is your "wee wee" a real dark yellow color?

p.s. go see a doctor medicine will get it cleared up in a few days and if you wait it will only get worse..

ATOT: where life's problems reach a solution

maybe you should call your doctor instead of coming to this forum if it's bad...
or it can be just passing some stones or something...
or maybe there's an infection...
if it keeps up, call your doctor for sure

Indeed consulting a professional doctor is important, but I figure most aren't available at 9pm so I thought I ask so I have some "sense" of what is happening before I call the good 'ole doc tomorrow :)

I sure as hell hope this isn't locked. There's nothing wrong with penises. Half of the flipping world's population has them, including the little children who we're trying to "protect".

Anyway, you said that you just noticed it. Is it still happening? And for how long? Ever happened before? Have you had any sexual activity recently? Was it really painful or just barely noticeable?

Without these other details it's hard to say. But yeah, if you don't want to share specifics you can get some decent info from a web search. However, nothing can replace actual interaction with a physician. It's probably nothing, but if it's bothering you, why not see a doctor? That way if it's nothing you can put your mind at ease, and if it is, you'll have caught it early.

Are you sexually active? If not, it's more than likely a urinary tract infection. Men get them quite frequently but for what ever reason don't experience the symptoms as often as women.

Drink plenty of water / cranberry juice and it should clear up. I would still go see a physician however.

If you are not sexualy active, and there is little chance of it being an STD....it mite be a bladder infection, i had one:

You mite get a fever or get sick too if its a bladder infection you will feel buring sensation when u urinate, and u mite feel the urge to go but nothing or little comes out... im only 16 and i got one somehow...anywas goto ur doctor and just tell him and they gave me antibiotics..within a couple hours it felt beter, and by the nextday it was gone.

Lucky you, you got booty ;)

Seriously though, thats more than likely an STD, see your doctor ASAP, and let me have the women till you get clean.

statetech, this is a problem you can easily handle yourself. There is no need to see a Doctor. You can avoid that outrageous $10 HMO co-pay and spend the resulting profits on blank CD's or fast food, done your way.

So buck up, and strive mightily to emulate the All American spirit of rugged individualism. All you really need is an No.10 exacto knife, a realatively clean rag for use a tourniquet, and this handy little self help tome:

:D Lorena Bobbitt's Incisive Home Surgery Guide. :D

As Lorena herself says in the forward: "No pee-pee, no problem."

<< Chlamydia is another likely culprit... >>

Heh.. when you give it a squeeze and it oozes a greenish-yellow goo, it's time to start popping doxycyclenes like they're M&Ms..

I love how all you highly intelligent physicians have diagnosed him with an STD. What brought you to that conclusion? The fact that he said he's had sex with 500 different people?

He never even said if he was sexually active! Quit tryin' to scare the guy.

Rule out the simple stuff like dehydration or a urinary tract infection before convincing the poor guy he's got an STD or five.

Slight burning with no other symptoms could be from a whole lot of things, some of which aren't even necessary to have medically treated. The best advice you're going to find here is to give your doctor a call and go in and pee in a cup for him/her. An UTI can be almost immediately diagnosed, so if it's not that, then your doc will know the best way to proceed right then and there.
