From T***Bargains:

<< On May 1, some terms of the program will change. Limit 1 refund request per item, so wait until the last minute to pricematch! Pricematches with websites must be called in and postmarked the same day >>

At least they haven't totally eliminated the program.

Thanks for the post... but it's really not changing that much, eh? You can't PM more than one of the same item, which in my mind was kind of shady anyway (I mean, come on... you find it lower elsewhere and yet you go buy it at the more expensive place again?). I know there are reasons why one would do this, but I guess I just didn't expect them to do that. :p

I think the "1 refund request per item" means per purchase. Right now you are able to receive more than 1 BVG claim on 1 item if you find it for less at a later date than the original BVG claim. A lot of people would purchase something and then do a BVG claim almost immediately, then throughout the 60 claim window, if they found it for even less, they would submit another BVG claim. The multiple claims per item is what will be eliminated.

It also sounds like they are forcing people to gamble by requiring the website PM to be labeled the same day as the BVG claim number. That sucks because you can't keep a stockpile of lower price printouts and wait till the end of the claim window to submit the lowest one. Now you will have to bet that the lowest price at the time of the claim is going to represent the absolute lowest price during the claim period.:(

Amex are a bunch of bastards that like to change their policies often... First they changed the free-isp thing they had for Amex customers, and started charging for it. Then they took the Amex blue card reward program and change everyone to their traditional program out of nowhere. They also change their price-matching policy every other week. Screw you AMEX!:|

Why would you want to do that. They dotn care when the print out is from and you are just doctoring your proof for some unknown reason. If people keep on doing this, we will loose the BVG really soon.

Don't abuse the system, just wait till close to the 60 day mark before you price match after May 1st.

While the text doesn't state that you can't still fax materials, "postmarked the same day" suggests mail only? If so, I guess this would preclude calling to file claims on Saturday evenings, Sundays, and weekday evenings, when a same-day postmark couldn't be provided ...

Call me slow or anything, but what does this statement have to do with the date on your web print-out?
