So what's the difference between this 'Amway/Quickstar' and something like Mary Kay?

Sadly, there is little difference. Our friend just joined up with Mary Kay and she's in the process of getting brainwashed through their religious / motivational meetings. 🙁

My wife went along as a "guest" with this friend to such a meeting. Lots of "Amens" were being said to the small successes from the salepeople. The behavior made my wife gag.

[Edit]: our friend has seizures and isn't supposed to drive. However, her goal is to get a pink Mary Kay Cadillac. Go figure.

Another thing is these companies all have their own secret products. However I have found that since I now shop with japanese, spanish, korean, chinese, etc people I see alot of the same products (the bottles are identical) in foreign language. They must just contact overseas companies and relabel.

Market America was a company another ex's family tried getting me into (insisted I was keeping her father from becoming a millionaire, since I would not join up....so I did $69 or somthing)...they have an aloe product, they say it's theirs only....however the spanish market here had it with the same label except in spanish, said it was bottled by someother company for the store.

Sadly, MA doesn't call it multi-level marketing, but they say it's "network marketing." Just a different name for the same old, same old. 🙁

works for some ppl, doesn't work for others. they try sell it to you as easy, but its a royal pain in the ass... especially for friends of those involved... hehe
