AMR question!!

What does the AMR slot exactly do on VIA kx 133 mobo? I am curious to know how this can be use for audo or modem soln.

If you search around you can find the AMR board that plugs into that slot.

It gives you audio or modem function but it's junky (not sblive) quality.

You have to purchase a little wee card that plugs in to it. On that card there is a chip with holds a audio & modem codec, and a few ports. Which is then used by your system for producing audio and doing modem comms.

It's worse then a WinModem, don't bother with it.
