you could get away with 26 amps, barley

30amps or higher (or 15/15amps on dual rails) or higher would be sufficent

the Seasonics are the best ones out there (next to the PC Power and Cooling), either one is sufficent, so get the one that best fits your budget

well now that i look at the pc power n cooling 510w for just a nip over 200 bucks, i might look at that one, but the seasonic is like 120-140, so i might go with that...

If you have the money, or dont mind spending the extra $70, then get the PC Power and Cooling, it will absolutely run anything you can throw at it (short of a server enviroment, then youd need the 850w one :D)

The PC P & C 850W SSI is for heavy duty systems like the ones I use.. Well worth the money if you've got it to spend.

The 510W SLI is also a great unit. Overly powerful and overkill for 80% of the world's desktops.

The Seasonic S-12 500W is a good unit for the price too. Get it for nice, silent and solid power at a relatively low price. By all means go for it.

PC P & C is the best of the best in computer power supplies. :)

26 Amps is plenty. I'd shoot for something in that range if your going be dealing with SLI at some point. The Seasonic S12 series would be my first choice, I think the 500 watt unit and up have the connectors you would want for SLI.

PCP&C is also a good choice if you don't mind the noise and extra cost. They are completely over built but just about the best PSU you can buy.

Most definitely.

Although I got chewed out when I mentioned I'd purchased another (my 4th) for my new X2 rig. "You are spending $200 on a power supply?!?!?!"

The way I see it, why take chances...to save $50-60? My time is worth more than that.

well i dont get paid alot....and at least half my check is goin for bills...so i really cant afford a 200 dollar psu, sure i would like the extra insurance, but i just cant afford it...it jumps from just over 250 to the 300 dollar range, while my cell bill is over 100 and my cable internet is not exactly cheap either.

PC power and cooling 510 can be had for $190 if you shop around 5 year warranty. There are others that will do the job but hay get the best.

Both the Seasonic S12's and the OCZ Powerstream 520w are great PSU's. Which one is the better choice depends on the persons needs. When you get to the mega-12v levels the OCZ would be the more capable PSU as it has a beefier single rail.

However in this case I think a Seasonic S12-600 would be the best choice. It is incredibly quiet and will handle just about any load.

I would take the Seasonic over the OCZ regardless of the amps just because the Seasonic has better stability

yeah i was reading a review at silentpcreview.com, and they said the its pretty quiet, and pretty reliable, noise really isnt a huge issue, i have 3 120mm fans blowin over 100cfm each, 45db each(but no whine just a blowing noise).

OCZ Powersteam is excellent.

Adjustable rails.

If your a silent freak, and they're quite a few, the Seasonic is #1, great performance and it's silent.
