Is it possible to add a sub to this 4 channel, 4 speaker set up without losing fader and/or balance control?

OP
It's been years since I installed an amp. I have an old 4 channel MTX (Thunder 4320) that I am going to put in the used truck I just picked up.

Wire power and ground to head unit and amp. Eliminate speaker wire connections on head unit wiring.

Connect head unit to amp using RCA cables. Run speaker wires from amp to speakers.

The amp has a connector for "Trigger". I don't remember what the trigger is or is supposed to be.

Head Unit: Pioneer FH-X700BT
AMP: MTX 4320

Should be a blue/white wire. Don't forget to to install a good in line fuse on the power wire and ensure if you have a good ground. For amp install kits, KnuKonceptz makes good cheap kits.

Unless you listen to a source other than the radio. Then it turns off typically. I think blue is always hot when the headunit is on.
