Amount of Space Necessary for 160 Music CDs

I was thinking a minute per megabyte, so if each CD had 80 Mins, the calculations came out to 12.5GB.

So would 10-13GB be a reasonable estimate?

Michael

EDIT- I mean, for music.

an 80min cd holds 750 mb. 2 cd's will hold 1.5gb. 4cd's will hold 3gb. using 4 as a denominator, 160/4=40.

40*1.5gb = 100gb!!

or you could just say 160*750mb = 100gb

About 104 GB

If you're talking about music, then it depends on how much you're willing to compress it. You could get it down to 10-13 GB.

shouldn't that be 40*3gb = 120gb

Where did you learn math?

assuming there are 20 songs on each CD, and each song is about 3 mb, it would need about 9-10 GB.

Of course it would vary depending on the size/quality of your songs..

Where did you learn math?

probably at a public school

I go to a public school and I assure you they're not teaching 4*1.5=10.
