What events in your life would you recall as the ones which desensitized you the most?

I'd like to say that i'm not completely desensitived. A few things like tub **** and lemon ***** still wanna make me throw up.
 
While I was eating lunch at KFC, two guys started flailing at each other. I kept on eating. It was free entertainment.
 
a friend's older sister showed us pics of naked guys and i never knew it could get *so big*. i was a changed person after that. :Q
 
One where a doctor pulls out bot fly larvae out of an african american woman's breasts. One of them actually dodges the tweezer and pulls right back in. That was pretty nasty.
 
**** & ***** don't bother me but ****** ********* ***% & #^@ just about make me crawl out of my skin. I really feel stupid about it though. How bout you?

When we lit up Kosovo and then later on, parts of the middle-east.

Its actually kind of freaky watching those big yellow flares shoot straight up. You cant even see the missiles at night.

All I remember thinking was "In another hour, a sh1t-load of people are gonna die. And I helped make it happen."
Kind of makes everything else seem unimportant.
 
To be honest, nothing I've really seen really makes me cringe or say 'that's awful,' as far as gore or shock value stuff but what really gets me is my overwhelming sense of empathy for people around me.

honestly, i think it was the nick berg video...

i only saw it once, but i still remember his face. after that, nothing really seems important.
 
theres that rotten site and the ogr or something ish site and then theres the terrorist videos..and some net porn. and yes, the infamous lemon party/tub girl/and the ass face one. but really its rather sanitized and safe seeing it on ur pc screen. car wrecks and such are pretty nasty too, but thats reality, and something highway patrol and medics see all the time, and i guess more dumbass motorists should see such images considering how they drive.

and well theres queer as folk....esp the brit version. broke backs got nothin on this stuff.

OMG- I was just going to say that! It was a fake pic, but to this day my throat clenches when I think about it. I'll NEVER look at it again, that's for sure.

No, it wasn't a pic, it was a video. 100% real. I don't remember where it was though. I think it was some medical site. Wish I had a link.

The pic you're referring to is likely the "breast rash" found on snopes.com.
 
Animal torture, I could never watch it. When that video of some critter or other being skinned alive was popular a few months back I never viewed it because I knew I wouldn't be able to handle it. I don't at all mind seeing people hurt though. In fact, I kinda like it.

Edit: oh "What events in your life would you recall as the ones which desensitized you the most?", hrm... nothing in particular, just the way the human species is.
 
Faces of death, certain websites, pr0n. Desensitized to most of it now but I still cant handle watching things like the berg video. I think I can handle the video part of it but not the sound.

I haven't seen the video myself (by choice) but from what my brother was telling me, it was like watching a pig being slaughtered with the whole squealing and whatnot... and I've slaughtered pigs before. :Q

various versions of goatse/tubgril/a disgusting scat video that a roommate was watching on his computer have desensitized me to most things.
